Facebook gives you a feature to deactivate your account temporarily. This will make your friends can not see your account during the deactivation.
The following are the steps to deactivate your Facebook account:
- Login into your Facebook account.
- Click on the menu Account (on the top right), and select Account Settings.
- Click on the “deactivate” link on the bottom of the Account Settings page.
- You will be redirect to the Deactivate Page. There are some of your friends that will miss you displayed on this page.
- You need to select why you are deactivating your account and the reason.
- If you agree to deactivate then click on Deactivate My Account button.
That’s all. Remember, you can reactivate at any time by logging in with your email and password, although you must have access to your current login email address. Also note that your admin status in any groups or events will not be automatically restored after activation.
